Top-rated comic book stores in Maine
How this list is ranked: each shop's Google rating multiplied by its number of Google reviews, so a shop needs both a high rating and a lot of reviews to place well. Only shops with 10 or more reviews count. 10 of the 13 comic shops we list in Maine qualify.
Ranked from public Google numbers. Not an endorsement.

Coast City Comics & The Fun Box Monster Emporium
4.8★★★★★ 512 reviews
Back issuesMangaIndie & small pressThis place was dope! The guy who worked there helped me so much. As someone who is just now getting into comics, I know very little and he was able to give me a lot of suggestions that were very helpful. The place was also extremely organized but had this authentic eclectic look to it.

I don’t know what the dudes name was behind the counter… all he told me was he was “the master of hobbies”… this place is amazing, y’all are doing great things. The convo was awesome and I haven’t seen a local hobby shop like this in a long time.

Found a cool gaming store on our way home!!! Mike was very nice. Awesome space, and the dragon's name is Fletcher, I think! Will be back again next time I'm in the area. Edited 06/15/2025: Came back, still a great store. My new go-to place when I'm in Norway!

Back issuesVintage & keysOne time is all it took. I love this store already. Great selection on coins. I am a coin and comics collector more coins and I have pieces in my collections that I hope I won't ever sell because of how rare they are such as my graded Superman in action comics No.1.

Back issuesVintage & keysRead some of the reviews and some of them talked about his prices.. yall need to get real. Small businesses can't survive on "great deal" prices. It's 2023 and living is expensive in general, let alone running a small business. You want a good deal - go to a thrift store lol.

Buys comics Back issuesEverything is literally perfect. Prices, condition, even talking with shop owner. They adjusted specifically shipping cost for me so I could order it. Only torture was getting price stickers off 😅 If more collectors find this place, comics would disappear by a week!
