Common questions
- How do you decide which shops to list?
- A shop is listed when Google lists it as a comic book store and its name, customer reviews or own website confirm it sells comics, or when its reviews and website clearly show it does. Big multi-category chains, used-media chains, antique malls and conventions are left out. Claims on a listing, like pull lists, back issues or buying collections, appear only when a review or the shop's own website backs them up, and the listing shows which.
- Where can I sell my comic books?
- Look for the "Buys comics" badge. It shows only when a review or the shop's own website says the shop buys comics. 235 shops have it, and the sell comics page lists them by state. Call before you go. Many shops want a list first, and an offer is usually well below what the books sell for, because the shop has to resell them.
- What is a pull list?
- A pull list (or pull box) is a standing order: you tell the shop which series you read, and it sets aside each new issue for you to pick up. Many shops offer a small discount for it. Reviews or websites show 601 shops here run one; see comic shops with pull lists.
- How do I find a comic book store near me?
- Pick your state, then your city. City pages list every shop we have there with its rating, review count, address and hours. The map on this page has a locate button that centers it on where you are, and filters for pull lists, back issues, manga and shops that buy comics.
