Top-rated comic book stores in Iowa
How this list is ranked: each shop's Google rating multiplied by its number of Google reviews, so a shop needs both a high rating and a lot of reviews to place well. Only shops with 10 or more reviews count. 24 of the 26 comic shops we list in Iowa qualify; these are the top 10.

Mayhem Collectibles Inc
4.7★★★★★ 1,957 reviews
Pull listsBack issuesMangaOne of the most impressive game stores I have ever been to, a totally unexpected hidden gem if you wouldn't expect this type a store in Iowa. I came from out of town, from Texas which has a pretty substantial board game and comics culture, so needless to say I was impressed.

Pull listsBack issuesMangaI came here for a night of Commander MTG. The shop was clean, well lit, and had a great variety of items. The event I was there for was more of an ad hoc thing rather than organized, but I had a great time and the shop felt like a clean and friendly place to play. One of my most enjoyable experiences at such a venue.

Pull listsBack issuesMangaGreat inventory, great staff. Love going in here and browsing, discussing the art and stories with everyone, and getting great recommendations. Had a bad experience here once, later learned it was just a result of someone having a human moment, Mike went above and beyond to make amends and make sure I was welcomed…

Comic World & Games
4.6★★★★★ 345 reviews
Comic world is my go-to for any tabletop board game, or any if my D&D needs. Ben the owner is the prime example of what makes a locally owned business great, and why supporting them matters. When I go in I'm recognized, and I'm greeted with a friendly smile and hello.

Acme Comics & Collectibles

Hands down the BEST comic book store around. We love it so much that if there is something we are looking for ACME is the very first place we call, and they are always prepared to help us find any comics or nerdy, that we are looking for.

Great place for books, comics and vinyls. I've been going here since I was a kid for comics , but now I go there for vinyls of all different kinds. They have an amazing collection of vinyls, as well as a top floor of discount vinyls. It's a great place to shop

MangaWith the newer owners this comic shop has really blossomed. Owners and staff are very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and obviously love what they do. They have a ton of selection; Graphic novels, manga, action figures, pops, plushies, board games and card games, retro video games, apparel, etc.

Daydreams Comics

Pull listsBack issuesMangaI've been to a great number of comic book stores across the country, and this is one of the best there is. The employees were nice, helpful, and extremely talkative leading to good conversation between me and the other customers and regulars in the store.

Pull listsVery nice place and owner is great to work with. We brought some comics in and they were right on the cusp of being old enough to be worth something but not quite yet and since i drove from the west side of cr to marion she bought them anyways and gave me more than they were worth and she wasnt going to buy them at…

Dungeons and Dodgers

The place is WAAYY BIGGER than you'd think from the outside. They also have a big play area with several tables in the back. Everything is sectioned out by what you are looking for: Comics, Cards (Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Magic), DnD, Funko, Warhammer, video games, gaming accessories, etc.
