Top-rated comic book stores in Alabama
How this list is ranked: each shop's Google rating multiplied by its number of Google reviews, so a shop needs both a high rating and a lot of reviews to place well. Only shops with 10 or more reviews count. 26 of the 28 comic shops we list in Alabama qualify; these are the top 10.
Ranked from public Google numbers. Not an endorsement.

The Deep Comics, Games & Toys
4.6★★★★★ 1,810 reviews
Pull listsBack issuesThis has got to be one of the best comic shops in the south! Large store that has a little bit of everything, but has a humongous selection of back issue comics. They have a lot of key wall comics, new comics, and dollar bins. They also have toys, figures, comic supplies, trades, gaming and more!

Covert Comics & Collectibles

Pull listsBack issuesCovert Comics & Collectibles in Foley, Alabama is an absolute gem and a must-visit if you’re anywhere near downtown! We stopped in after seeing Spider-Man outside promoting the store (which was such a fun surprise for the kids), and we’re so glad we did.

Sanctum Tattoos and Comics

Pull listsBack issuesHad the opportunity to experience this awesome comic and tattoo shop located in downtown Birmingham AL. They have been in business for about eight years and have just recently acquired this galactic space. Next time you are in the area stop by. My favorite experience was playing the Gotham themed Pin Ball Machine.

Back issuesIndie & small pressI went inside, looking for some new comics and found a large selection of both graphic novels, new comic books, and collectibles. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for any of the sort. Whether it be DC, Marvel, or anything else this place has it.

Almost Anything

Absolutely awesome store! I moved to the Auburn/Opelika area four years ago from Chicago, where we had a lot of stores like this and so I was ecstatic when I saw Almost Anything come up in a Google search.
-
Port City Comics

Pull listsThe owner/manager and his employees alike are welcoming, appreciative, and genuinely friendly to customers of all ilk... regardless if the customer is fanatically dedicated or, to the contrary, casually perusing at infrequent times.

Buys comics Back issuesSigningsIndie & small pressA fun spot to stop in and check out all the new books. A super friendly staff and an awesome little spot. If you're in the area give this little gem a peep. Head on in and grab some books. Support your local comic shops! I picked up a couple transformer comics on a whim and if I lived in the area I'd be back for more.
