Comic shops with pull lists
A pull list is a standing order at your local comic shop. You tell the shop which series you read, and it sets each new issue aside in a box with your name on it.
How a pull list works
New comics reach shops every Wednesday. When a series is on your pull list, the shop holds a copy for you, so you don't miss an issue that sells out on the shelf. You collect your box when it suits you, often every week or two.
Shops order most new comics weeks before they come out. Your list tells the shop how many copies to order, which is why many shops like pull-list customers and some give them a discount or first pick of variant covers.
Rules vary from shop to shop. Some ask for a minimum number of series, some want you to pick up within a set time, and some take a deposit or keep a payment method on file. Ask before you sign up.

Questions
- Does a pull list cost anything?
- Signing up is usually free. You pay for the comics when you pick them up. Some shops ask for a deposit or a payment method on file, and some give pull-list customers a discount. Ask your shop how it works there.
- What happens if I don't pick up my comics?
- Each shop sets its own rule. Many hold books for a few weeks. After that, a shop may put them back on the shelf or end the list. Ask how long they hold a box.
- Which state has the most comic shops with pull lists?
- California has the most, with 58 shops. In all, 601 comic shops in 45 states and DC offer pull lists in this directory.
- How do you decide which shops are listed here?
- A shop is listed only when a customer's review mentions pull lists there or the shop's own website does. The line from the review, or a note about the website, is shown with each shop. Shops change what they offer, so call ahead before a long drive.
