I recently sold my comic book collection as well as my Pokémon cards here, and it was the best place I could have picked.

Comic book buyers in Illinois, by city

Cities with two or more buyers have their own page. The others link to every comic shop in that city.

Before you go

  1. Call ahead. Ask if the shop is buying now and when the buyer is in. Set a time for a large collection.
  2. Sort your books. Order them by title and number, and put older books and keys on top.
  3. Ask for two numbers. Shops pay below resale in cash, and many offer more in store credit.
  4. Compare offers. With 16 buyers in Illinois, you can get a second opinion on your most valuable books.

More on pricing, condition and what shops want: where to sell comic books and how to sell your comic collection.
