I visited Universal Comics today on Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) for the first time and I had a really great time! I spent close to 5 hours flipping through every comic they had (except all the titles I wasn't shopping for upstairs).
This store is epic! They don't open until the afternoon, so you'll have to wait until noon to get your comic fix. I picked up a few comics and met some really awesome employees, including the owner. They have a great selection and even have a trading program! I would live in this store if they would let me 😄...
This comic book store was a great find. It's small but they pack quite a lot in there, I moved to the Arbutus area and was please to see a comic shop so close. The guys that run the shop were really helpful and have great suggestions. They weren't pushy at all.
A small shop, but lots of great selections. This is the place to go for purchasing single issue comics. They even sell bundled complete runs, which is great for someone like me, who has a hard time figuring out how to collect a series (except for when they are published later as graphic novels).
